We wrote this back in 1999. Very early in our homeschooling journey we learned from others that it is wise to create a statement of why you are choosing to homeschool your children, and what you expect to gain from it. Not too detailed, a family "Philosohpy of Education" is meant to be a reminder of your vision, because sometimes you can get buried beneath a mountain of discouragement and forget why you wanted to do this in the first place!
